Concept

Jaffa Yards is a  Mixed Use, Residential, Conservation & Hotel compound in Jerusalem, Israel

Ohel Shlomo is a small neighborhood north of Jaffa Street in Jerusalem, near the Machane Yehuda market which was established in 1891 as part of the Jewish construction breaking out of the Old City walls. The neighborhood Nevet was built by a Zionist visionary, Yitzhak Lipkin. At the heart of the conservation complex is a rose garden surrounded by authentic and unique stone buildings, in our design we proposed to preserve these buildings and add new programs such as commerce and hotels in addition to a new residential tower that would correspond with the architectural language of the entire complex. The new complex located on the famous Jaffa Street and near the entrance to the Mahane Yehuda Market will be an example of a preservation project at an international level that knows how to respect and respect the past but also represent the new and international spirit of Jerusalem, as one of the most important tourist cities in the world.
