Hatayelet 6, a 660-sqm retail building, is LSA’s first project in Rishon LeTsiyon’s promenade. The building, currently under construction, sits a mere 130 meters from the waterline. To take full advantage of the site’s stunning sea views, the building’s envelope is made of a glass curtain wall with horizontal shades that echo the waves’ movements. Considered the first landmark of the new promenade (currently under planning by the Rishon LeTsiyon municipality), the project’s sleek design and strong form are a result of meticulous planning and fine-tuning. Despite its narrow shape — resulting from the lot’s extreme proportions (7m X 40m) — the interior planning provides ample flexibility and can house anywhere from one to five businesses. A large roof balcony overlooking the waterfront allows visitors to feel as though sitting on the beach while in the comfort of a luxury building. In tackling this complex project, LSA did not neglect the sustainable principles that guide all of its operations.
