Hatayelet 33 is Lazarovich Architects’ second project in the new Rishon LeTsiyon promenade – an ambitious project seeking to refurbish the city’s upper and lower promenades. A diverse retail complex with a total area of approximately 4100 sqm, the unique building is partially dug into the slope of a hill that runs from the upper to the lower promenade. The complex features gourmet restaurants, coffee shops, bars with pools, and an event venue. The design allows passage to the general public, who can experience the complex’s vibrancy while en route to the beach; the passage takes place through two oval-shaped elements, in which internal staircases afford dramatic views of the beach and the complex. The roof, an extension of the public promenade, is comprised of a series of breathtaking public balconies.
