The Genish project is located in the Sakiya B neighborhood, adjacent to the historic Sakiya A area in western Or Yehuda.
Originally developed in the 1950s with single-family homes on large plots, the neighborhood retains its traditional character but faces a shortage of public open spaces and requires upgraded urban connections.
The new plan introduces a residential complex of 5 buildings, comprising approximately 184 housing units in a diverse mix: 4–5 room apartments, mini-penthouses, and penthouses. Each building will feature a residents’ club, with two buildings also integrating active commercial spaces. At the heart of the plan, a new public open area will serve the community, alongside the preservation of the existing synagogue, reinforcing its role as a social and communal hub.
Located near a commercial center and key transportation routes – including a planned public transit lane and the future Purple Line light rail station – the project strengthens Or Yehuda’s urban fabric while combining the preservation of community values with modern residential development.
