Commando Square is a mixed-use development project in the city of Lod, designed to renew and activate a central public space within the neighborhood.
The plan includes two residential Buildings of 26 and 27 stories, alongside an 8-story building for employment and public use. At the heart of the project lies a redesigned square, envisioned as an open and accessible public space.
The design addresses topographical changes through a colonnade – a covered walkway that seamlessly links the two plazas within the square, establishing a continuous pedestrian route and strengthening the connection between different parts of the neighborhood.
By combining residential, commercial, employment, and public functions, the project redefines the square as a vibrant urban connector that enhances daily life in the area.
